Fall News Update - 2007

Dressage arenas under construction

The summer was long and hot, but we all enjoyed riding and going to shows.  The week long summer program was quite a success with daily riding and horse related activities.  The session ended with a delightful parade of costumed horses.  Next summer we hope to see old friends and new in up-coming programs.

This fall we are looking forward to our Schooling Series.  There will be new jumps in place for the event as well as an opportunity to school on the “flat”.  All the activities will go on in the front of the property in the existing arenas; the parking for the trailers will be in the rear right of the property.   We are hoping for a big turn-out.  All the proceeds will go toward our spring cross-country course. 

During the past months the pastures have begun their renovation, which included removing the over population of buttercups as well as applying lime.  In the fall we will begin spreading grass seed throughout the property, hoping for gentle rains, and looking forward to a green spring.

In our lesson program, at this time, we are currently accepting all levels of riding.   This September a six week beginner program will be offered on Saturday mornings.  There are also openings for lessons on Thursday and Friday evenings.  There are also programs Tuesday during the day for adult and a home school classes.

Riders are encouraged to come and school at the facility, by appointment.  Your instructors are also welcome, with proof of insurance.  As the winter approaches the indoor arena will be available for use for a fee.

There are several horses available to ½ lease at this time, but lessons must be taken simultaneously.

We also have meeting rooms available for horse related events.

Additionally, we are currently seeking 3 new “boarder” horses.  We have space for either geldings or mares.  We are looking for friendly people who are interested in helping out around the farm periodically as well attend regular lessons.
